I started baking when my first child was born 10 years ago as I knew I wanted to be the one to make his birthday cake every year! Shortly after my twin girls arrived and my passion for not only baking, but bringing people together for special celebrations blossomed. I have made my children’s birthday cakes every year since, as well as treating my family and close friends with a cake for their special occasions too.

More recently I have been asked by others if I would bake for them and that’s when I decided to turn my passion into a business. So, welcome to Love Leigh, I’d love to help you celebrate your special occasions too, as I can’t think of a better way to start than with a homemade cake!

Leigh's cake for my daughter's 9th birthday was absolutely delicious. We all agreed it was the best red velvet cake we have ever had. The design was beautiful and original. After the first success, we asked her to make our son's Peter Rabbit birthday cake that had the most beautiful and unconventional design and tasted better than any cake you can buy at a patisserie.

What if I have an allergy or dietary requirement?

What happens if I need to amend/change my order?

Please do get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to make any changes to your order. I will try my best to accommodate but depending on timings it may not be possible.

How should I store my cake?

All my cakes are made using buttercream or ganache, so your cake should be stored in a fridge until approx 2 hours before you plan to eat it, to allow it to come to room temperature. If it is an extremely hot day, please leave your cake in the fridge as long as possible. You do not want it to melt/collapse before you get to cut it!

Do you offer cupcakes?

Yes! Cupcakes are available in all the same flavours as my celebration cakes and come in boxes of 12. I also offer mini cupcakes which come in boxes of 24.

How many people will my cake feed?

My usual style is a 6 inch, 4 layer buttercream cake which feeds approx 25-30. But, it also depends on how big you like your slice of cake!

What flavours can I have?

My most popular flavours are Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet, Carrot, or Lemon but if you are after something specific please do get in touch to discuss requirements.

How will I receive my cake?

Collection only from Barnes, SW13. We will agree on a suitable time prior to collection.

How much notice do I need to give to place an order?

The longer the better! But as a minimum two weeks prior to the date you require the cake.
